The Southwest PADRECC is one of six VA Centers of Excellence specializing in the diagnosis and managment of Parkinson's disease and related movement disorders. We offer clinical, research, and educational services for Veterans living in the Greater Los Angeles and Southwest PADRECC region. The PADRECC established a network of seven VA Medical Centers in California, Nevada, Arizona, and New Mexico; we are collectively called, the Southwest PADRECC.
Our mission is to deliver state-of-the-art care and assure the highest quality of life for Veterans afflicted with Parkinson's disease and related movement disorders. The care provided encompansses the professional practice of neurology, neuropsychiatry, neurosurgery, nursing and pharmacy, which specializes in neurological diseases.

The Southwest PADRECC serves Veterans living in West Los Angeles, San Luis Obispo, Santa Maria, Santa Barbara, Oxnard, Bakersfield, Sepulveda Ambulatory Care Center, Lancaster, Gardena, Los Angeles Ambulatory Care Center, East Los Angeles, Long Beach, Loma Linda, San Diego, Las Vegas, Tucson and Albuquerque. Referral
The Southwest PADRECC offers care to any Veteran currently enrolled in the VA Health Care System. Your VA Primary Care Provider (PCP), or VA Neurologist, can refere you by submitting a movement disorders (or inter-facility movement disorders) Consult. Once the referral is received, a medical services assistant will contact you to schedule an appointment.Veterans who are not yet enrolled can contact your local VA Medical Center registration office. Or, visit www.va.gov where you can find links to all VA benefits including online application for VA Healthcare benefits. Patient Education/SupportPD@Home is a Parkinson's Telephone Education/Support Conference, sponsored by the West Los Angeles VA; it is available nationwide by telephone. Held 2nd Tuesday each month from 10-11am Pacific Time, 11-12pm Mountain Time, 12-1pm Central Time, 1-2pm Eastern Time.
