Getting Care in Philadelphia
How to Receive Care in a PADRECC Clinic |
Referral
The PADRECC offers care to any Veteran currently enrolled in the VA Healthcare system. This includes veterans who have been previously diagnosed with PD or Veterans who have just started to notice parkinson-like symptoms. We also treat Veterans who have been diagnosed with other movement disorders, such as essential tremor. Patients Currently Registered in the VA Healthcare System: If you are currently registered in the VA Healthcare System your VA primary care provider (PCP) or neurologist can refer you by submitting an inter-facility consult for "movement disorders". Physicians outside of the VA may refer a patient by calling the Philadelphia PADRECC toll free at 1-800-949-1001 x 205769 or 215-823-5934. Once the referral is received our Medical Services Assistant will contact the patient to schedule an appointment. Our appointments are typically scheduled within 30 days upon receipt of the referral. Individuals Not Yet Registered in the VA Healthcare System: The Philadelphia PADRECC can only evaluate individuals currently enrolled in the VA Healthcare System. Please contact your local VA Medical Center registration and/or eligibility office or visit the Department of Veterans Affairs website How To Apply For VA Health Care | Veterans Affairs for further information. |
